Traumaambulanz für Gewaltopfer (Universitätsklinikum)
Victims of violent acts have the opportunity to seek psychotherapeutic help in the trauma outpatient clinic of the University Hospital at an early stage after a recent act of violence.
Within the framework of the Victim Compensation Act, victims of violent acts can thus receive initial psychotherapeutic help at short notice in order to be able to prevent long-term psychological sequelae through early intervention.
The aim of the initial 5 individual psychological sessions is to identify psychological stress as a possible consequence of a crime at an early stage, to classify it diagnostically and to carry out initial stabilizing interventions.
The aim is to help those affected to come to terms with what they have experienced. If there is a need for further treatment afterwards, further psychotherapeutic talks can be held in the sense of early intervention.
In order to be able to receive this treatment on the basis of the Victim Compensation Act, an application for this service is filled out together with the affected person during the first psychotherapeutic sessions.
